John Kerry and the Democrats have devised a new "index" to measure "misery". Apparently they think the one created by a Democrat predecessor doesn’t suit their purposes anymore. I guess that’s not surprising because the numbers show "misery" to be at the lowest levels since the index was created. Leading economists are quick to point out how off the wall John Kerry’s creation is: "You have to be pretty desperate to come up with a whole new index," said David Littman, Chief Economist for Comerica Bank. "Data mining is when you seek out data to fit your agenda," Littman continued. "That’s what this is an example of. No responsible economist would ever do that." But then, consider the source of the new index.
