Today has been a day of misdirection and slight of hand. Governor Granholm is in Washington to talk about jobs, hoping that while you are watching her talk, you aren’t noticing Michigan lagging behind the recovery of the rest of the country. On a similar note, her political team spent much of the afternoon arguing with the Board of Ethics, doing everything they could to make sure the Board didn’t investigate a conflict of interest in her office. They hoped that while you were watching them talk about procedure, you weren’t noticing that they couldn’t defend the conflict. And now John Kerry comes to Michigan tomorrow. Let the slight of hand continue…
