A COMMISSION A DAY KEEPS DECISIONS AWAY by Betsy DeVos

George Weeks yesterday wrote a column about Governor Granholm "cleaning up state boards, commissions and task forces." (here) He references 25 that she has removed. What he fails to mention is the 19 new boards that she has created to take their place. Net savings to the people...nothing. She needed to do some cleaning to have room for her new commissions, a number to which she adds every single month. Every new board or commission she creates represents one more problem she puts off until "tomorrow". The only real "spring cleaning" Governor Granholm is doing is sweeping Michigan's future under the carpet.
