I am frustrated that the voices of thousands of Michiganders have been silenced by partisan action on the part of the State Board of Canvassers. I thought that Jennifer Granholms team was above this, but apparently they will stop at nothing to get John Kerry elected.
Ralph Nader is a legitimate candidate for President. He deserves the chance to be on the ballot; moreover, everyone who signed a petition to put him there deserves to be heard. Elections are not meant to be decided in Boardrooms, but in ballot boxes. All of Michigans major newspapers have condemned this action, and I concur. This shouldnt be about politics -- it should be about choices.
It seems like every day John Kerry is trying to silence someone in his quest for victory. That just doesn’t sound very American to me.
