A Win for the People

Lansing, MI— Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ron Weiser issued the following statement upon learning the Michigan Supreme Court rejected the Steffek Tea Party appeal and the group will not appear on the November ballot:

“We are pleased to hear the Steffek Tea Party will not be on the ballot in November. From the beginning we declared this a fraud on the people of Michigan. The Steffek Tea Party was just another in a long line of dirty Democrat tricks to deceive and confuse the voters.

“Today’s decision by the Court is a win for all of the dedicated grassroots activists who are part of the true Tea Party movement and it is a win for democracy.

“The Steffek Tea Party was so toxic and fraudulent even Granholm’s Justice Davis, her personal political appointee, couldn’t close his eyes, plug his nose and swallow the fake tea.”
