Day 1: Believe in Michigan - Jobs First‏

November 2, 2012

Grand Rapids, Nov. 2, 2012 – Good evening, we’ve wrapped up the first day of the “Believe in Michigan – Jobs First” bus tour. One message we heard over and over again at each stop: Michigan and America cannot afford four more years of broken promises and a broken economy. Today’s unemployment increase was just a painful reminder to many hardworking middleclass families that Obama’s policies have failed.

The day started off perfectly, under sunny, cool skies in Lansing and the bus traveled south to the Country Cider Mill and then across the I-94 corridor, up to Ottawa and ending tonight in Grand Rapids. Every visit was packed and activists are fired up to turn out the vote and elect Mitt Romney, Pete Hoekstra, Markman, Zarhra and O’Brien and Republicans across the state.

Gov. Rick Snyder helped kick off the tour, later hosting an impromptu town hall with the employees of Progressive Dynamic, Inc. In Kalamazoo, Congressman Fred Upton joined the tour and finally Congressman Pete Hoekstra led the Republican ticket into Holland for a quick stop at the Peanut Shop.

Late this afternoon, Romney-Ryan Campaign announced that Tobin and Oakleigh Ryan are campaigning throughout Michigan tomorrow.

Tomorrow the bus tour kicks off in Grand Rapids, a full schedule for tomorrow and the rest of the tour is included.
