Emmons for 33rd Senate
September 1, 2010
Lansing, MI— Judy Emmons was nominated as the Republican Party State Senate Candidate for the 33rd District to replace Brian Calley who is now the lieutenant governor nominee. The executive committees of Clinton, Ionia, Isabella and Montcalm Counties voted to select the nominee pursuant to Michigan Election Law (MCL 168.169).
“Judy Emmons will make an excellent candidate for the 33rd District,” said Ron Weiser, Michigan Republican Party Chair. “Emmons served parts of this community before, understands the Legislature and can hit the ground running in Lansing when elected, working to make a difference for the people of this region.”
The meeting held at Alma High School was called by Chairman Ron Weiser. Michigan Republican Party Secretary Hank Fuhs chaired the meeting.
“Michigan Republicans are excited about the Snyder-Calley team, and we are pleased to have Judy Emmons join our long list of qualified candidates who are helping us seize on our One Chance Fix Michigan,” Weiser said.
