One-Term Proposition

February 02, 2012

Three years ago today, President Obama said, “If I don’t have this done in three years, then this is going to be a one-term proposition.”

In honor of the President’s prophetic statement, the Michigan Republican Party has issued the following web video: One-Term Proposition.

In the past three years, President Obama has made a series of promises:
  • Obama pushed through nearly $1 trillion in stimulus spending, with the promise to lower unemployment below 8 percent. Today, unemployment remains above 8 percent.

  • Obama pushed through his controversial healthcare package, with the promise to lower healthcare costs. Today, healthcare costs for families have increased by more than 9 percent.

  • Obama said adding $4 trillion to the national debt was “unpatriotic” and “irresponsible,” and promised to address the national debt. In three years, he’s added more than $4.6 trillion to the national debt… and counting.
President Obama has let down middleclass taxpayers and he’s failed to get it “done.” It’s time to help him keep one promise: Let’s make this a one-term proposition.

Please take a moment to view our newest web vide: One-Term Proposition and share this with your friends, family and social networks.

Sincerely,

Bobby Schostak
Chairman, Michigan Republican Party
