The Delegates will decide

August 5, 2010

Lansing, MI—The Michigan Republican Party and Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Rick Snyder jointly announced Thursday that no endorsements would be issued in the race to secure the GOP nomination for secretary of state.

The Michigan Republican Party has had a long practice of not endorsing in primaries or convention races. Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Rick Snyder has decided to not make an endorsement in the secretary of state race.

The decision to determine who will best represent the values of Michigan families as secretary of state will be made by convention delegates. Unlike the Democrat Party, the Michigan Republican Party supports an open convention process.

On Aug. 28, following the Michigan Republican Party State Convention, the full slate of Republican nominees will be determined and all will work hard to re-invent Michigan by fixing what’s wrong with our state.
