MRP Chairman calls on Obama and Biden to avoid campaigning with Clinton during FBI investigation
LANSING, Mich., July 5 – Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ronna Romney McDaniel on Tuesday called on President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden to avoid campaign events with Hillary Clinton during the FBI and Department of Justice’s investigation into her private email server.
“Seeing the President and Vice President campaigning with a candidate who is under investigation by their FBI sends the wrong message to the American people,” said McDaniel. “No one is above the law, and the President and Vice President should make that point clear by refusing to campaign with Hillary Clinton while she is still being investigated by the FBI.”
McDaniel pointed to President Obama campaigning with Clinton in North Carolina today, as well as the secret meeting between Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch as a clear sign of favoritism from the Obama Administration for Hillary Clinton. The meeting occurred just days before Hillary’s interview with the FBI on her email server.
“The American people deserve an impartial and thorough investigation into this vital issue of national security,” McDaniel stated. “The Obama administration should avoid even the slightest appearance that this process is rigged in favor of Hillary Clinton, something they have failed to do so far."
