MRP Statement on Being Asked to Pass During the GOP Convention Roll Call

LANSING, Mich., July 19 – Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ronna Romney McDaniel on Tuesday made the following statement regarding why Michigan passed the first time through the roll call of the states casting their votes for President of the United States:

“We were asked by the Trump campaign to pass so New York could cast the votes to put him over the edge. We were very happy to join Pennsylvania in offering this honor to our nominee, and we look forward to turning Michigan red in November.”
