LANSING, Mich., March 20, 2020 – Over the last week, President Trump and his administration have taken aggressive and decisive action in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak. Wednesday night, the president signed a massive coronavirus relief package, that included free coronavirus testing and paid leave for hardworking Americans.
On Thursday afternoon, while briefing members of the press – President Trump also announced he would be slashing even more red tape at the FDA, soon allowing new drug therapies into the market to combat the coronavirus.
The work done by President Trump and his administration has not gone unnoticed by the American people. A new ABC News – Ipsos poll shows more than half of Americans approve of the job the President is doing in handling the coronavirus crisis.
“The Administration is combatting the coronavirus head-on, and President Trump has kept his promise to spare no resource in mitigating the effects of this pandemic.” said Laura Cox, Michigan Republican Party Chairman. Cox continued, “Whether it’s paid sick leave, instructing HUD to halt foreclosures, or free testing, the president continues to make the welfare of the American people his top priority.”
