Congressman Dan Kildee once praised corrupt union leader Dennis Williams on the floor of the U.S. House, in a now-deleted video on his YouTube channel
LANSING, Mich., October 1, 2020 — As news outlets reported this week that ex-UAW President Dennis Williams plead guilty to corruption, Congressman Dan Kildee was caught hiding his praise of Williams on the floor of the U.S. House.
Yesterday, a video began to circulate on Twitter of Congressman Dan Kildee praising corrupt UAW President Dennis Williams on the floor of the U.S. House, congratulating him for “work well done”. In an attempt to hide this relationship from the public, he has now listed the video as private. Luckily, the Congressional record still exists, exposing his relationship with Williams.
“Congressman Kildee is trying to cover his tracks after one of his corrupt political bosses plead guilty to corruption. He’s not fooling anyone.” said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox. Cox continued, “I call on Congressman Kildee to condemn his former political ally and disclose to the people of the 5th District the nature of his relationship with the corrupt former UAW President.”
