Democrat candidate for Congress Gretchen Driskell released an attack ad riddled with lies regarding Congressman Tim Walberg
LANSING, Mich., September 23, 2020 — Earlier this week, Democrat Candidate for Congress Gretchen Driskell was caught releasing an attack-ad riddled with lies about her opponent, Congressman Tim Walberg. At one point, Driskell falsely claims Congressman Walberg “voted for a $500 billion slush fund”, citing H.R. 6800, which Congressman Walberg voted against, and H.R. 7010, which added no additional funds for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
“Gretchen Driskell is a repeat failed candidate for Congress who has resorted to lying in a desperate last attempt to con voters into casting their vote for her, but Michigan voters won’t be fooled.” said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox. Cox continued, “Driskell should immediately remove this false ad, and apologize to the people of Michigan’s 7th Congressional District for her dishonesty.”
Congressman Walberg voted in favor of the CARES Act, which provided families and small businesses across the state and 7th district with billions of dollars in COVID-19 relief, through direct payments and the immensely successful PPP.
