ICYMI: Big Tech Interferes With Presidential Election

Twitter and Facebook both suppressed a New York Post article that was damaging to Joe Biden, causing Senate Republicans to demand an explanation

LANSING, Mich., October 15, 2020 – In case you missed it, Twitter and Facebook both suppressed a New York Post article that was potentially damaging to Joe Biden, causing Senate Republicans to demand an explanation for this interference.

Senator Ted Cruz called the move by Twitter to censor this article “hypocritical” and “an obvious and transparent attempt by Twitter to influence the upcoming Presidential election.”.

Meanwhile, a Facebook Communications employee, Andy Stone, stated that the platform would be “reducing distribution” of the article. This raised red flags, considering this employee’s past work history with Democrat Senator Barbara Boxer, the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and the Democrat House Majority PAC.

“The attempts by Twitter and Facebook to suppress a potentially damaging article to Joe Biden smacks of an attempt to interfere with the upcoming Presidential election.” said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox. Cox continued, “Twitter and Facebook should reverse course, and we must begin to have an honest conversation about Big Tech influencing our elections to try and get Democrats elected.”
