It’s Been 48 Days Since Tara Reade Came Forward, And Peters Continues to Hide

It’s been 48 days since Tara Reade came forward with sexual assault allegations and 405 days since reports started to surface about Joe Biden’s inappropriate touching of women, and Michigan’s Junior Senator Gary Peters has been silent. Last month, Peters endorsed Biden for the Democrat presidential nomination.

In 2018, during Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings, Gary Peters supported Christine Blasey Ford coming forward. This time, however, Peters has sought to avoid stating whether Tara Reade should be able to have her voice heard on two separate occasions.

“Gary Peters is unwilling to address the tough issues, and therefore is a failure as a leader for Michigan.” said Laura Cox, Michigan Republican Party Chairman. “Peters is more worried about playing politics and covering for his buddy Joe Biden, than he is about getting to the truth. The fact of the matter is that it will always be party over country for Gary Peters.”
