Creative Director


The Creative Director is responsible for the conception and creation of visual designs that range from print to digital media. This individual will help develop, implement and produce consistent political messaging strategy across a variety of mediums. Experience in Graphic Design, Photography, and Videography is required. Applicants must work well under pressure and tight deadlines. Experience in camera (DSLR) and audio technology is preferred. Applicants must be artistically inclined, stay up to date on best practices of visual communication, work well on a team, and be a self-starter who will strive to implement politically creative and innovative messaging opportunities.

Graphic Design

Print - Gear designs, flyers, banners, signs, booklets, credentials, invitations

Digital - Social media graphics, website banners, email design, evites


Responsible for pre-production, production, & post-production (editing)

Digital ads, event highlight videos, interviews, record events (state committee)


Events photography, headshots, pictures for social

Audio/Visual for Events

DJ music, cue slide transitions at convention


GIFs – social media, email and finance appeal use

Dynamic screens for convention

Duties include:

  • Create digital graphics for social media and email use
  • Create print material such as flyers, invitations, and signs
  • Create the visual conception for conventions and other large events
  • Shoot photography at events / headshots when need be
  • Create short videos for social media and email use
  • Film events for highlight videos
  • Film interviews when required
  • Maintain video and camera equipment including tripods, microphones, lenses, lighting both
  • Help in candidate assistance when need be
  • Work with the Communications Department to develop party messaging


A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, video production, communications, or journalism preferred, however equivalent experience will be considered.

 MUST have a deep knowledge of

  1. Adobe Photoshop (Photo editing, Graphic Design)
  2. Illustrator (Graphic Design, Vector Work)
  3. InDesign (Document arrangement, very helpful for print work)
  4. Premiere (Video Production) BONUS knowledge - After Effects (Video & Animation Production) Audition (Audio Production)
  5. DSLR Camera, 4K Camcorder, & GoPro
  6. Microphone Tech (Lapel microphones, condenser mics) BONUS knowledge – knows how to set up a studio with proper lighting for interviews (to use the studio room downstairs)
  7. Pulling video from online sources
  8. Basic copyright use laws
