The Republican Women of Leelanau County will be holding their “Protecting the Second Amendment” Dinner on Thursday, October 17th. A Social Hour will begin a 5:30 p.m. and the Dinner and Program will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Leland Lodge located at 565 Pearl Street in Leland.
In addition to the dinner, there will be a silent auction including items from the NRA, Jay’s Sporting Goods, Cabelas, local merchants and many, many others.
Keynote speaker, Suzanne Anglewicz is the Senior Midwest Field Coordinator for the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action covering grassroots operations in Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. She previously served as Grassroots Manager of Political & Legislative Activities and Research Attorney for the NRA-ILA.
In her current position, she works to develop and strengthen the NRA’s political and legislative activities at the state and federal levels in support of the Second Amendment. In addition, she oversees state and federal campaign field operations and represents the NRA at various pubic and educational forums nationwide. She also serves as the Coordinator for the annual NRA-ILA Firearms Law & The Second Amendment symposium.
Ms. Anglewicz has a bachelor’s degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy and a J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. She is an avid hunter, NRA instructor and Lifetime Member of the NRA.
