Biden Threatens Michigan Factory Worker

LANSING, Mich., March 10, 2020 – As Michiganders go to the polls to help decide the Democrat nominee for President, former Vice President Joe Biden threated to physically assault a Michigan factory worker who questioned him about his stance on gun control.   During the exchange, Biden told the worker he’d “slap him in the face” and that he was “full of sh*t”. The video can be found here. “With his frequent mental fumbles and now threats of physical violence against a hardworking Michigan voter, it’s abundantly clear the pressures of the campaign have exposed the real Joe Biden.” said Laura Cox, Michigan Republican Party Chairman. Cox continued, “Joe Biden owes that worker an apology, and it’s evident he no longer has the temperament to serve in the highest office in our nation.”   More >

Who Said It Better?

Sanders, Peters vow to throw support behind “whoever”  Who should be the Democrats’ nominee for President? Sen. Gary Peters and his pal Sen. Bernie Sanders’ response: Whoever, doesn’t matter.  In an interview with Rachel Maddow on MSNBC, Sanders stated “If Biden walks into the convention, or at the end of the process, has more votes than me, he’s the winner.” Likewise, Peters told the Washington Post “I’m supporting whoever the Democratic candidate for president is,” in attempt to skirt the topic. Peters’ non-answer is a desperate attempt to cover his tracks. Both Peters’ failure to stand up to party leadership to protect Michigan, and his willingness to follow suit with an outspoken socialist like Sanders should alarm voters. Peters has said that Sanders’ flagship Medicare for All is “the path forward” and “probably where we are going to go.” Peters has also signaled that he supports “aspects” of the job-killing Green New Deal. “Bernie Sanders seems to have an echo here in the State of Michigan and his name is Gary Peters!” said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox. “Whether it’s Medicare For All or the Green New Deal, you can expect Gary Peters to choose progressive policies over what’s best for the state of Michigan.” More >

Why is Gary Peters Protecting Joe Biden?

A look behind Peters’ Investigation Hypocrisy This Wednesday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is set to vote on a subpoena of the Ukrainian oil and gas firm, Burisma. The firm has been linked to both to Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. Gary Peters - a ranking official on the committee - is actively blocking the committee’s intent to move forward with the investigation in his latest move. On Monday, Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) called out Peters and his staff for hindering the investigation. Here are the facts: 1996: Peters said then President Clinton’s impeachment “dragged on” and that he was “pleased it's all over.” 2020: Peters joined Democrats in calling for more witnesses in the impeachment trial of President Trump. TODAY: Peters is now stalling the Senate’s process to collect further information on Hunter Biden, protecting son of Democrat presidential frontrunner, Joe Biden. Peters Lies on Healthcare Continue

LANSING, Mich., March 4, 2020 –  During his State of the Union address, President Trump pledged to protect healthcare for individuals with pre-existing conditions, an issue which enjoys widespread Republican support. However, these pledges have not stopped embattled Senator Gary Peters from lying about the President’s stance on the issue, and trying to scare voters into sending him back to the U.S. Senate. Dishonesty regarding healthcare is nothing new for Peters. In 2009, then-Congressman Peters was an enthusiastic supporter of Obamacare and its pledge that, “if you like your healthcare, you can keep it,” a statement which proved false as millions of Americans lost their preferred plans. Obamacare also promised to lower healthcare costs. Instead, healthcare premiums rapidly increased crushing many Americans with crippling healthcare debt.  “Gary Peters helped pass the biggest healthcare lie in American history.” said Laura Cox, Michigan Republican Party Chairman. Cox continued, “Now in a desperate attempt to scare Michigan voters into reelecting him, Senator Peters is spreading even more misinformation regarding healthcare. It’s clear Gary Peters is desperate, and come November when given the choice about Peters’ record, they won’t keep him.” More >

MIGOP Statement on Super Tuesday

LANSING, Mich., March 3, 2020 –  The following statement is from Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox regarding tonight’s Super Tuesday primaries. “Clearly, the Democrat primaries for president have become a fight between the failed policies of the Obama administration, and the failed policies of the Soviet Union. With over 100,000 jobs created here in Michigan, 20,000 of which are in manufacturing, it’s obvious that President Trump’s policies are working. No matter who emerges as the Democrat nominee, Michiganders will not go back to the failed liberal policies of the past.”   More >
