Michigan Legislators Call For Subpoena Powers In Election Investigation

LANSING, Mich., December 9, 2020 – Today, members of the Michigan House of Representatives released a statement calling for subpoena powers to be granted to the House Oversight Committees to aid in their investigation of the 2020 November election results, as well as an immediate halt to the destruction of all election-related materials.

This comes after Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox and Republican National Committee Chairman Ronna McDaniel made calls for a full audit of the November election results due to widespread irregularities.

“I am proud of the Republican legislators who stood up for the preservation of evidence and the powers required to launch a full-scale investigation into November’s election results.” said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox. Cox continued, “The Michigan Republican Party will continue to support and fight for uncovering the truth of what happened on Election Day and the days that followed.”
