LANSING, Mich., December 16, 2020 – With control of the U.S. Senate hanging in the balance, the Michigan Republican Party is investing heavily in Georgia to ensure Republicans maintain their majority by sending Senators Perdue and Loeffler back to Washington.
The Michigan Republican Party has deployed 15 field staffers and is poised to invest over $120,000, helping Georgia Republicans to gain momentum in the runoff election. The Michigan team on the ground has also helped generate over 210,000 voter contacts and is adding an additional 13,000 voter contacts every day.
“This year, the Michigan Republican Party and Trump Victory broke records with our ground game, making over 9 million voter contacts. Now, we are happy to do our part to hold the line in the great state of Georgia.” said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox. Cox continued, “Maintaining the Republican majority in the U.S. Senate is vital to holding back Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats’ radical socialist agenda. Thanks to the deployment of MIGOP staff and resources, we are confident that Republicans will be victorious in Georgia.”
