This week, the Michigan Republican Party in partnership with Trump Victory reached the 2 million voter contact mark nearly five months earlier than the previous record - set on September 26th, 2018. The 2 million contact milestone comes even though the MIGOP & Trump Victory have been forced to switch to an entirely digital campaign utilizing phone calls to voters as well as virtual trainings in the wake of COVID-19.
Thus far, Republicans have contacted over 2.1 million Michigan voters and conducted over 645 trainings, with over a million calls being made since the switch to a virtual campaign.
“I am incredibly proud of the work that the Michigan Republican Party has done to reelect President Trump, and that we have done it at a record-setting pace,” said Laura Cox, Michigan Republican Party Chair. Cox continued, “Despite the obstacles that the COVID-19 crisis has presented, our team has come together with Trump Victory and made some amazing strides - placing over 1 million calls and enlisting 1,340 volunteers since the switch to a virtual campaign. Having now contacted 2 million voters earlier than any campaign in history for Michigan Republicans, we are clearly on pace to accomplish great things this November.”
