While Nursing Homes Struggle, Whitmer Continues VP Audition

As the state continues to flood long-term care facilities and nursing homes with COVID-19 patients– Governor Whitmer turned a blind eye as she continued her push for a new gig as Joe Biden’s running mate.

Last night, Whitmer joined “Late Night with Seth Meyers” to discuss how“Democrats can win Michigan in 2020”, something Whitmer has put more energy into than working with Michigan’s legislature to create a plan on reopening Michigan.

This morning, during The Today Show Third Hour, Gretchen Whitmer joined Craig Melvin mentioning that she has had “opening conversations” with Joe Biden about VP vetting and is “making time to stay connected to the campaign.”

“It is extremely disheartening to see that the major issues Michiganders are struggling with take a backseat to Gretchen Whitmer’s political ambitions. The governor can say ‘all her energy is going into Michigan’, but the fact of the matter is her actions speak louder than her words.” said Laura Cox, Michigan Republican Party Chairman. “It’s way past time for Governor Whitmer to end her VP obsession and refocus on our state.”
